Feasts of St.Ignatius of Loyola and the patron saint of our institution St.Francis Xavier are celebrated every year in a grand manner. There will be a special assembly in which a senior Jesuit or a senior teacher will deliver the feast message. On the day a Solemn High Mass is offered and all the students and staff participate in the celebrations.
02. School Day
Every year the school celebrates its Annual day. In the evening the parents, the old students, the staff, the well wishers and the benefactors attend the functions. The Headmaster presents the annual report. Prizes are awarded to students of academic and cultural excellence. The academic winners are suitably awarded. Cultural performances are of high quality.
03. Sports Day
Sports day is celebrated every year in the school. The entire students will be divided into four houses in four colours – Red house, Blue house, Green house and Yellow house. All the teaching and non-teaching staff members are also distributed to four houses to co-ordinate the students. Before the sports day, games competitions on Volley ball, Basketball and football and sports competitions in athletics will be conducted. And all the final competitions will be held on the sports day.
04. Children’s Day
On November 14th of every year, the children’s day is celebrated in a grand manner. Student representatives from VI,VII,VIII, IX, X,XI and XII std will be the chief guests on the day. Cultural programmes will be organized by the teachers. The entire function will be an interesting entertainment to the students. On the day sweets will be sponsored by the teachers to all the students and the academic achievers among the students will be honoured in a special way with valuable gifts by the management.
05. Teachers’ Day
On September 5th of every year, the students organize a grand function to felicitate their teachers on the stage and make them happy by their cultural programmes. In fact it is a joyous day because it is celebrated as parents’ day. Our teachers are looked upon as parents who sacrifice their time and energy to empower the students with knowledge and talents.
06. Religious Festivals
To create the communal harmony in the minds of the youngsters, the school celebrates Christmas, Pongal,Deepavali, and Ramzan respectively. The Student community donates study materials and dresses to eligible fellow poor students during the celebrations.
O7. Other celebrations
Independence Day, Republic Day, Human Rights Day, Women’s Day, Kalvi Vazharchi Naal, Kalaivara Vizha and National Science Day are celebrated during the academic year.
