Clubs

Inigo Band
Our school had an excellent band with twelve student musicians. They play music on the important functions of our school. They have a regular practice. The band puts up a commendable performance whenever the school receives important dignitaries for the celebrations.
JRC
"I pledge myself to care for my own health and that of others, to help the sick and suffering, especially children and to look upon other children all over the world as my friends.” This motto should be displayed at some catchy place in the schools along with Red Cross emblem.
Concern over other health, service and friendship is our slogan. It includes good ideas in young minds. It cultivates donation programs such as eye donation, blood donation etc. It practices disaster management exercises in our school.
Lasac
LASAC was started in 1974 and became popular among the students of the Jesuit schools in Tamil Nadu. “Let the society be raised” is the motto of this association. It provides leadership training and creates social awareness among the students. It instills in the minds of the students a spirit of self-confidence, sacrifice, honesty and justice. The LASAC students create a green campus by planting trees and keep the campus clean from plastic items. They take new initiatives and help the teachers to maintain discipline in the school. Fr.S.Joseph Kennedy SJ is the director of LASAC in Tamilnadu.
NCC
"Obey the command" This is the motto of the NCC. It develops patriotism and discipline. During the school functions, our cadets help our teachers to maintain strict discipline. Every year school cadets participate in the annual camp. Selected cadets participate in the special camp in the summer.

NSS
Motto:
The motto of National Service Scheme is NOT ME BUT YOU. Its objective is “Personality development through Community Service”. Volunteers work every Thursday after school hours. Every year they participate in a special camp for 7 days. They do services for village development. They assist in implementing government programs. They have to work for 120 hours in a year.
The NSS Badge Proud to Serve the Nation:
The Konark wheel in the NSS badge having 8 bars signifies the 24 hours of a the day, reminding the wearer to be ready for the service of the nation round the clock i.e. for 24 hours.
Red colour in the badge signifies energy and spirit displayed by the NSS volunteers.
The Blue colour signifies the cosmos of which the NSS is a tiny part, ready to contribute its share for the welfare of the mankind.
Parents meeting
The parent teacher association takes care of our students studies and other character formation. It organizes the parents meeting of all classes and is very helpful for wider consultations. The PTA meets once in a term and evaluates the entire academic activities and contributes a lot through constructive suggestions. Parents are very co-operative and their ideas and proposals are taken seriously for the welfare of the students and the development of the schools.
Eco Club
It aims at keeping the school campus clean and growing trees and plants including herbal plants. It also creates awareness of solar energy, rainwater harvest and global warming.
Road Safety Patrol
Our motto is to serve voluntarily. In this club, there are 60 boys from the 9th standard. They regulate the students when they enter the main gate and go out when the school closes. Every year they celebrate Road Safety Week. They conduct rallies regarding the road rules and make the students respect road rules.
Scout
The motto of the scout is "Be prepared" its objective is a voluntary help. Our school has troops namely Loyola and Xavier troop. The troops have been receiving the governor award since 2004. The activities of the scout movement are keeping the school campus clean and preserving the trees on the premises. It conducts inter religious seminars. Every Monday our scout boys have classes.
STAAR
STAAR is an association that caters to the needs of the poor students of our school. The students donate every month within their capacity and all the collections are properly accounted and monitored by the students themselves with the help of two teachers. It helps for medical treatments, the poor students with the free uniform dress, school bags, study materials, financial help etc.
Arts & Crafts
The school has two drawing masters and one Craft instructor. Students participate in many drawing and craft competitions. Our teachers train the students in craft making, perfect drawing like colour drawing, pencil drawing, chart drawing and thermal cutting, etc. Mr.AmalaJesuraj was honoured with the Best Drawing Master Award – 2010 and Mr.Vijayakumar also has been honoured for his talents in drawing. Our craft master Mr.A.Raj puts his heart and soul to make and maintain the benches and desks in a proper condition.
Consumer Club
The motto of this club is "AWARE, ALERT and ACT". It makes the following awareness for the students: Weights and measures, Adulteration, the quantity and quality of commodities, and the rights of the consumer.
Fr Arrupe Dispensary
In 2007, this Dispensary was established by Fr.Y.S. YagooSj under the able guidance of Mr.A.Amalraj, who is a Siddha medical practitioner and also a senior teacher of our school. “Health is Wealth” is the motto of this dispensary. It conducts periodical medical check-ups for all the students and makes available all government medical assistance to the students. It offers first aid for the students and organizes medical camps. Dr. Durairaj B.H.M.S sponsors the medicines and treatments free of cost.
Fr Arrupe Inter-Religious Centre
It was started in 2007 on our school premises. It nourishes the communal harmony among the students. Students pay a visit to this centre to do meditation and to concentrate their minds. Experts are invited now and then to share the methods of prayer and yoga with the students. Yoga training is also conducted for the students. 'One God' and 'All are Equal' are the motto of this centre. There is no discrimination among human beings.
Fr. Verdier Science Club
Science is fun and it is for sustainable development. This club organizes science exhibitions to present the best science projects and takes the students to the tirunelvaeli Science Centre to help the students update their scientific knowledge. It also conducts competitions on scientific topics and quiz contests to inspire the students.
Fr.Leveil Reading Club
Developing reading habits is its motto. This association provides facilities to read books from 12.30 pm to 1.15 pm. Every pupil enjoys reading and acquires general knowledge. It aims at creating reading habits among students.
Veeramamunivar Tamil Literacy Association
This Association remembers the distinguished Tamil scholar Veeramamunivar to the students. Being a Jesuit priest, he made a great contribution to the Tamil literature. In our school, this association conducts various competitions for students. Practices are gives in elocution, writing practices, drama and music by the experienced teachers.
